See Here’s the thing, Lust just doesn’t care.

Self- control is needed whether you are in a single state or in married life. Many times as singles we think, well I wouldn’t have a problem with lust if I were married. Truth is, Lust is Lust. If you struggle severely with self- control before marriage the same temptations will be there within marriage, if you don’t learn and understand how to think about intimacy differently. Lust tries to lure you in and wants you to break your ability to have self- control over your body. It doesn’t care if you are single or married, and marriage is not the cure to lack of self control. Marriage requires you to focus your affection on the one you are with, fully and in the most transparent ways. Be aware of your self- control in your single spaces, because you will definitely have to use self control in your married spaces.

1 Corinthians 10:13– The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand, when you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Proverbs 25:28– Losing self-control leaves you as helpless as a city without a wall.

Lean on God’s Grace , He is your helper.
